This week’s meeting was led by Dan Andersson, LEO CEO. He welcomed the Members from the many countries around the globe who were attending the webinar.
The meeting began by covering the new initiatives of LEO Banking and LEO Gold Vault, then reported on a new and exciting incentive which has just been launched. The Agenda also included a LEOcoin update, followed by a look at some highly interesting press coverage. Updates were also given on the extremely busy events schedule, as well as training.
With the motto ‘BY THE MEMBERS, FOR THE MEMBERS’, LEO Banking will be operated for the benefit of the Members and the Members will play a big part in what services are offered. This is a groundbreaking and disruptive initiative, and is the latest in a long line of innovations LEO has made, including LEOcoin and LEOcrowd. Great progress is being made and there should be some good news to report at next week’s meeting regarding the latest developments.

The LEO Banking initiative offers endless possibilities. As LEO Banking develops its capability and reach, it will eventually be in a position to support the growth of the whole LEO Ecosystem. In the future, it will become the centre of this remarkable company we all belong to. LEO Banking will allow us to accelerate our business, as well as being highly innovative and disruptive as we grow.
The first project of LEO Banking is LEO Gold Vault, which will offer a range of Gold savings product offerings. Why gold? Because gold:
- is a consistent store of wealth
- is a hedge against inflation
- benefits from the falling US dollar
- is a Safe Haven
- is a diversifying investment.
This will be an ideal product for customers all over the world who want to participate in owning gold without having to engage in all the normal administrative effort. We will be offering a range of savings products aimed at meeting the needs of many types of savers. From those who want to convert their current savings into gold, to those who want to diversify their savings portfolio by adding gold, as well as those who want to set up a regular gold savings plan. The LEO Banking Ownership Platform is now open. So, as you are gaining a better understanding of what the LEO Banking initiative really means, you can judge whether to purchase pre-shares in your Back Office Ownership section.
We are planning to have the first dividend distribution at a LEO Banking meeting as part of the Annual Global Conference in Mauritius in 2018.

There has been a bit of shift and movement on the exchanges recently. What we want to do is to have an independent, real coin, traded in the real world, and if you look at the volumes traded on Livecoin.net and DABTC, you will see that the volumes there are VERY healthy and are rising. This is the mark of a true cryptocurrency! What we have here is a coin where the trade is also happening on independent exchanges.
A news flash on 4 September on the CNBC.com website reports that the Chinese banks are banning people from raising money through initial coin offerings (ICOs), and are asking local regulators to inspect 60 major platforms. Local outlet, Caixin, reported that a document had been issued by authorities which defined ICOs as an unauthorised fundraising tool that may involve financial scams. A list of 60 major ICO platforms has been issued for local financial regulatory bodies to inspect.
Seven government administrations, including the People's Bank of China, China Securities Regulatory Commission, China Banking Regulatory Commission and China Insurance Regulatory Commission, issued a joint statement where they reiterated that ICOs are unauthorised illegal fundraising activity.
The statement said authorities are banning all organisations and individuals from raising funds through ICO activities and that all banks and financial institutions should not do any business related to ICO trading.
Organisations and individuals that have completed fundraising through ICOs should make relevant arrangements to return funds, in order to protect the interests of investors and properly deal with risks. The statement added that enhanced management is needed on digital coin fundraising platforms.
LEO and LEOcoin have obviously never been involved in any sort of ICOs, but Members should be aware of other companies involved in ICOs as there may well be regulatory issues to overcome.
A new article on the Home Business website provides 5 top tips for how to stay positive to achieve sales success. This contains invaluable advice on how to conquer any negativity and ‘Seriously ace those sales’.
Notably, top tip 2 points out the importance of gaining good training, and mentions the great courses LEO provides, saying: ‘Short, online courses can be particularly good for fitting around your busy sales schedule – for example, you could try LEO Coreline, which offers a wide choice of innovative courses to strengthen your sales skills and lift your spirits.’
So, be sure to ‘Try these straightforward strategies and start smiling all the way to SERIOUS success!’
A highly successful Discover LEO and training event took place in Gotha, Germany, on 26–27 August. This was organised by LEO Members, Nico Linss, Thomas Vockerodt and Frank Metzger, and as you can see, this went extremely well and there was a great turnout.
Many LEO events take place around the world, and where we go is driven by our Members and their enthusiasm and effort to develop and grow business in their countries or cities. The senior corporate staff are always willing to provide support, diaries permitting.
This was an educational tour that Andy Hansen and Dan Andersson undertook over 8 days in 8 cities in China. They gave presentations and shared the LEO business models, LEO Banking, LEO strategy and plans. They also learned a lot about what drives our Members, what makes them so enthusiastic and above all what they expect from us, LEO Corporate, to help them continue to be successful.
As Dan says “The whole 8 days were absolutely mind-blowing. The experience will inspire me every day for a very long time.” So, watch the video in your language on LEO TV, and share it with your teams and contacts – I’m sure it will inspire you all.
