Presented by Wendy Li, Assistant General Manager Asia Pacific Region as Dan was returning from Kuala Lumpur. Wendy reviewed the main announcements from the Global Annual Conference and revealed the LEO Holiday and Annual Global Conference in Mauritius in 2018.
Every year the UK DSA holds its annual Conference where they “recognise the amazing people and companies in the direct selling industry.” We are proud to be able to tell you that Dan Andersson has been selected as a finalist in the Leadership Award.
The DSA UK Leadership Award is made to a Senior Manager of a member company who has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and who is recognised as an industry role model. All finalists will be welcomed to the stage and the winner announced during the afternoon session of the conference. The DSA Conference 2017 will be held at Carden Park, Cheshire on Thursday 18th May 2017. We will be there to support Dan and we are confident that he has an excellent chance of winning this Award. Best ever Global Annual Conference with greatest number of attendees from the greatest number of countries there to celebrate our 5th Birthday.
This is the hotel we stayed in at the heart of Kuala Lumpur – easily recognised by the twin towers of one of the tallest buildings in the world. Our staff at the Reception desk ready to welcome all our guests and allocate them with the right badge for the lifestyle experience later in the week.
The Welcome event was a jungle themed restaurant where Members were encouraged to enjoy themselves in so many ways.
The first formal session saw Dan Andersson LEO President and CEO give a summary of the LEO journey, the strategy and our business focus, and how the re-branding will make us all One LEO team focused on the same goals.
Waqas Suhail, General Manager for the Dubai Region, who has just joined, and spoke of how he will be delivering his vision of helping LEO become part of the Fortune 500 list within the next 5 years.
Bernard Landi, Chief Financial Officer gave us a breakdown of who is managing the company and how their skills and experience will really help us in moving forward.
David Johnstone is General Manager of LEOcrowd and LEO Tower. He shared the latest plans for LEO Tower and on the LEO Crowd side how the crowdfunding market is growing and how we are supporting innovators to raise funds for their ideas.
Mihir Magudia, Global Director of External Relations shared the latest information on the LEO coin wallet and how it will make a difference to everyone’s lives. We are restoring the privacy we see as part of our human rights. He gave us the 30, 60 and 90 day plans for these developments.
Wendy Li, Assistant General Manager Asia Pacific Region was delighted to be a host and organiser.
Sohail Ramzan, Chief Technology Officer joined on Skype to share the plans for IT support we provide to Members.
Joel Nisbet, Creative Director was the driver behind many of the changes we have seen in our materials like the Discover LEO presentations.
VIP Dinner for top Leaders and Directors. We had teams from Pakistan, Vietnam, Philippines, China, Canada and the US here to share and celebrate with us. The Members received special gifts from Dan Andersson, CEO, which was a traditional Batik scarf for the ladies, and a beautifully carved Pewter glass for the gentlemen.
Day one of the training. Dan spoke about why he started LEO and what he saw as his vision for the long-term for LEO and its Members.
The first indication of the 2018 conference was revealed.
On the Second day of training a Q&A session was held. With leaders sharing why they joined LEO and their vision for their future.
Recognition is an important part of the Conference. Over 300 LEO Members from Platinum and higher came on stage with Dan and Mihir Magudia, Global Director of External Relations, to celebrate their success.
The final day started with two separate activities; a visit to the Malaysian rainforest where Members joined Dan Andersson, CEO, walking over 5km and planting 50 trees to assist with conservation and symbolising the strength, security and future of LEO.
Members also attended a trip to the Batu Caves and the Pewter experience. They joined Mihir Magudia, Global Director of External Relations, in making pewter bowls branded with LEO, which was an incredible experience.

The details will come soon, but what we can say at present is that this will be part of the Ownership programme which means Members will be able to buy pre-shares.
